Brody's Story

Greetings to all; my name is Brody (my on-line name was Shippo ((On Petfinders)). I was adopted from Second Chance Rescue on January 6th 2012. Can you think of a better new year's resolution than a forever home? In my household I have a very large older brother (yellow lab) and a large younger sister (husky mix). I am afraid of just about everything. I have managed to overcome some of my fear but spend most of my days hiding under the bed. I come out and check on where everyone is to make sure I am not missing anything. Each morning we go for a walk. I have a chest pack that I ride in to a lake where it is usually quiet and then get out and walk around the lake. We also go for a walk each night but it is not as quiet and I want to get back in my pack quickly. I am doing better each day. I love to taunt my sister and constantly steal her favorite toys. When she is running wild in the back yard I get behind and chase her all over the place. I am smaller and can really
make tighter quicker turns so stay right with her. We both act like we do not like this but we both love this game. From day one I have insisted that I sleep on the bed at night. So I can get up and down without getting hurt mom put a stool next to the bed to make it easy for me. I run around the edge of the bed like a land shark and will not let the other's up. Then I sneak down at all hours of the night and grab someone's toy and bring it up into my kingdom. What fun. Mom knew when she chose me that I had extreme fear based issues and it would take time to overcome them. But in just six weeks I am doing much better than anyone would have thought the first time they saw me. I love my new life and thank Deb and all the volunteers that took the time to save me from the kill shelter they found me in. So this is just the beginning of my story. Love Brody. P.S. Mom wrote this for me.
